NINEFALL

Numbers add. Boards topple.

A chain-reaction number puzzle for iPhone and iPad. Play a tile, the values add, and every lower-numbered neighbour topples after it. Past nine, numbers roll over.

This is 1‑8 · Descent, the eighth level in the game, exactly as it ships. Three tiles, par two. The obvious move is a trap, and one of these tiles adds nothing at all.

Three laws, no manual

Tiles add

Play a tile from your hand onto one on the board. The values add, and the tile flips face up.

Past nine, they roll over

There is no twelve. This is the signature rule, and the reason the greedy move is usually the wrong one.

Chains run downhill

A flipped tile topples every neighbour holding a lower number, and those topple theirs. Equal numbers block. Nines are fortresses, zeros are scalpels.

Certified fair

Every level ships with a proof.

Before a puzzle reaches you, a solver searches it exhaustively. It has to be solvable, its par has to be exact, and its optional master goal has to be reachable. The proof is stored next to the level and re-checked on every build.

No board is probably fine. That is why there are no hint packs to sell you: unlimited undo and a solver-powered hint are simply built in.

The real record for the level in the hero, taken from the game's own level data. 103 boards carry one, including all seven secrets. Clear a whole board in a single placement and that is a Grand Cascade, which is what the game is really about.

The journey

Eight worlds. Ninety-six levels.
One idea at a time.

Each world introduces a single new piece and then explores it properly. Twelve levels each, and a secret level hidden behind every world after the first: collect a world's gems and it appears.

New in the free update

The board fights back.

World seven adds the shifter. It gains one after every move you make, whether you touch it or not, and nine falls to nothing. A plan that took four moves to set up is not the same plan by the time you get there.

One shifter, three moves later. Worlds seven and eight arrived free, after launch.

The ritual

One board. The whole world. Every day.

Today is Daily Flip #251, September 8. The same five-by-five for everyone, everywhere, built on your device from the date alone. There is no server behind it and no account to make.

Keep a streak and put tomorrow's board on your Home Screen with the widget. Miss a day and you get one free repair a month, because life happens.

The flex

One move. Flip the most.

One-Shot hands you a dense board and a single tile. Bombs, wormholes and rollovers turn the obvious placement into a trap. Find the one that beats the board's certified best, then share the whole cascade as a looping GIF from the win screen.

Every board is a link. Send one to a friend and they can play the exact same puzzle, no install required.

The feel

Made like a toy.

Chunky ceramic chips that flip with real weight. Marimba notes that climb as the chain grows, haptics choreographed to every topple, and a slow-motion finale when the whole board goes.

Native from top to bottom. No game engine, no cross-platform framework, no third-party code at all. That is how the whole game fits in 3.3 MB and opens instantly.

No asterisks.
